Blessings everyone, and Happy New Year.  The rune drawn for January 2012 and the kick-off of the New Year is Ansuz.  Ansuz’s message for the start of this most exciting year is to be aware of messages, signals and gifts that are on their way.  The Universe is talking to us…shouting with Joy…and we just need to listen and receive.  Ansuz is also the first of a 13-Rune group that make up the ‘Cycle of Initiation’.  It is a cycle of self-change that comes at a most opportune time as 2012 portends to be filled with many changes to individuals, cultures, countries and to Gaia herself. 

 

So, be mindful of the gifts that the Divine is sending to you and open your heart to receive them.  Remember that even what you perceive as a difficulty may be exactly the gift you need.  Receive it with an open heart and gratitude.  Remember to meditate and ask for clarity to understand how these gifts, messages and signals will help you on your ever-changing path. 

 

And be sure to make time for yourself.  Make time to absorb and understand the messages you may receive and be sure to recharge and replenish your own energy.  Preparing yourself first will allow you to support, interact and enjoy all those around you with that much more joy in the coming year.

The dance we do on the meditation cushion, is the dance we do in life. There is no difference. We do not say, “now I am meditating,” only to then get up and re-engage life in the same old way. We get up mindfully and stay alert. We watch. And when we discover that unconsciousness has come over us, we hit the “reset button.”

 

It is not that we should expect to never be affected by our lifelong habits. It is that we move from our meditation cushion and allow for the practice to move us into our life. We let it carry us. We discover our edges of leaning into (or falling right over the edge) unconsciousness. It is like falling asleep. And when consciousness returns – when we become aware again, we simple relax into mindfulness.

 

That means being willing to make that uncomfortable amend, paying the debt we’d rather forget, using self-restraint when anger arises, not making commitments we can not keep, noticing all of the places we are compromising our integrity, our heart, our energy, and being willing to do something different.

 

It is a dance – practical application of our practice, and some people seem to be more graceful with it than others. But to be sure, everyone choosing this path is faced with a unique version of “life on life’s terms,” while becoming evermore alert to both the limitations of the mind, as well as to the infinite source of all good. We pay more attention to the infinite and are willing to surrender our will (our old and limiting habits) to a greater will. We are willing to dance on the edge and live life from our practice on the meditation cushion.

This month’s article is going to be a little different. As Carol has no doubt mentioned the battles we go through each month to get me to write my article (I don’t like computer work) it would seem she sicked her guides onto my guides to nip my tantrum in the bud!

 

So a few nights ago they sent me the most beautiful dream of rocks I’ve ever had.  It was so great that I want to use everything I have to get you just to feel a tenth of the love, compassion and secure feeling this dream delivered.  I’m going to paraphrase because if I wrote the whole dream it’ll take up the whole newsletter.  The subject of the dream and the selection of stones were to take us into and through 2012 with all the joy and passion we could hold.

 

The rock kingdom would like you to place into your right hand a Tibetan Quartz.  This stone holds the deepest and fullest of peace and compassionate prays, for centuries and centuries. They stretch back to the very first monks and llamas.  In doing this your light and prayers will be combined into a supernova of unconditional peace and love.  Traveling through your right hand it will heal centuries of separation between male and female.  We will then truly all be one.

 

 

At the same time you will hold an Angelite in your left hand signaling the total and whole-hearted unconditional love the angelic realm holds for us.  Now remember, I’m dreaming this and I hadn’t yet done this in reality. I woke up so high and so peaceful, I felt nothing could go wrong. Only wonderful possibilities went through my mind. It’s been over five days and I still feel so good I could cry for happy at the drop of a hat.  I see people so different.   I feel so secure and nothing I’ve seen on TV or in the news has made a dent.  I want to hug total strangers. I feel a connection so deep in my readings I almost can’t stand it.  You who know me know I can’t handle the mushy stuff!  I ask with all my heart that you try this .Give yourself the space to drift into this, you won’t be sorry. Claim yourself, claim the new reality. Let the light of peace and love join with your heart and seal the deal. Come on 2012, I’m ready to be Marveloussssssss.
