Who do you see when you look in the mirror? Through my studies, I have learned that others will mirror back to me qualities I believe about myself. When someone is driving me crazy I now step back and explore the possibility that they are only mirroring back to me something I'm not so crazy about myself. Inquiring minds want to know. Sometimes it is about a quality I don't like about myself and others it's just the action I'm judging. What about when someone mirrors back qualities I prefer? Oh yea, same goes for those qualities too. If I truly look in the mirror I'll see that I'm already all those qualities I admire in you. We don't see things the way they are, we see things the way we are.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?"

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small doesn't serve the world.

The Energies of October

The Rune for October is: Inguz – Fertility and New Beginnings

Very few of us think of autumn as a time for new beginnings, but this October the stars are aligning with the runes and affirming just that! How? In late October several astrological aspects which have been creating uncomfortable learning environments are due to pass and move to a much less ‘in your face’ brand of teaching. This ‘great news’ coupled with Inguz, this month’s rune, offers us hope that the chaos, hard lessons and exhaustion being experienced by so many will finally ease up… Yay!

So what New Beginnings would you like to manifest and initiate? This would be a very powerful time to think about that and to work with any and all tools which help you to enjoy the process. Are you attracted to the concept of a Vision Board? Why not start one in October? Or perhaps you prefer to journal, brainstorm, meditate, contemplate or simply vision… whatever your preferred technique, October is setting up to be a wonderful month to declare to the universe what you are wanting to bring into your life as a new energy and then to set the stage to make it so!

When I pulled this tarot card my first impression was that it was the undoing of the rune talked about in the first part of this message! And then I realized that the message was for us to sit with the new beginnings prophesied by the rune… to meditate, contemplate and prepare the way for the successful efforts and completion of our new beginnings.

It is so easy to begin a new project with such enthusiasm and passion that you burn out and lose your inspiration before it is even close to completion. I believe that the Psychic Tarot Oracle card for this month is showing us how to avoid that old trap.

So, as October begins and you choose your new beginning to focus on, take all the time you need to nurture, strengthen and develop your idea before you run with it. The Universe supports every request we ever make… this month, support yourself with the strong foundation that a bit of time and planning will build… and then, I suspect, the sky’s the limit!

On the Lighter/Laughter Side

Our ascension group was given an assignment last month by Adamris St. Germain to do some role playing, to get into roles other then our usual selves. We decided to ask Judy Sheffer, Certified Laugh Leader to come and lead us in an hour of laughter. For those of you who love to laugh and those of you who don't get to laugh enough, don't miss this opportunity to come and laugh with us. Do you feel special?

Being special is great…we are ALL special! But the problem is that most people, after experiencing some form of pain, do not see themselves as special nor do they feel special. In fact, usually the first truly painful experience takes a person from loving themselves completely to fearing love because they start to associate love with pain. After that experience, most people unconsciously decide that it is better/safer to get attention and love from outside of themselves and start denying self-love. And THIS my friends, is where everything starts. This is what I refer to as the P.O.D. = The Point of Denial

Self-esteem and confidence are not necessarily what self-love is all about, although they can be connected. Self esteem is more about how a person carries themselves in the midst of others and confidence is how a person sees their ability to take action. Self love is how a person sees himself all of the time, deep down, while around people and while alone. It is where those subtle thoughts about yourself come from and it shows up when you are faced with challenges in your life.

So for starters, ask yourself why or how you are special. Then look at your responses to that question and ask yourself if you are satisfied and fulfilled. Next, look to see what your goals are and ask yourself if those goals are there so that you can hopefully get some kind of attention and validation. Click here for the whole article.

Resentment

I finished reading The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand a couple weeks ago and have moved on, but the ideas from Ms. Rand's books still surface and lure me into contemplation. My latest musings have been about Mr. Rourke's (Fountainhead character) lack of resentment.

In being true to himself, his values and standards, his life was often unprofitable. He did not resent taking a job in a quarry in order to eat. He did not resent the lack of opportunities, nor did he resent those who bad-mouthed him. He lived for his passion and was patient. He never blamed anyone. He knew he had a gift, a genius, and waited humbly for the right person and the right opportunity to share that gift.
