How often do you go to take a step forward but instead you stand frozen in your tracks because you are not sure where you will end up? I am one who likes to know what the next step is before I take the first one. My guides giggle at me and say to just trust that my foot will land softly exactly where it needs to and the next step will be revealed. I was recently guided to help my father transition from this playground to the next. I am so grateful that I took the step. Living in the NOW of that experience was so beautiful and I will treasure it always.
During his illness I tried to manipulate the outcome. I consulted doctors, healers, psychics, family and friends to change my father’s path to fit into my desires. My goal was to make sure he knew he was loved and out of pain before he left us.
What I got real clear with before his passing is Love is a state of Beingness… A message came to me through a dear friend. “Love is not something that is given to another, not a deposit made into another’s spirit from another person. IT IS A STATE OF BEING….You see suffering and mindfully think that you can have them feel Love by your reactions and interactions. This is controlling. You can be in the state of love in your beingness…it vibrates and raises up everyone’s fluid matrix that connects them to Source. It is everyone’s choice to be in this state. Give up the end result. It is for you to be in this state of love and just dance with it. I SEE YOU…when said in the state of beingness that you are which is love flowing through you…is the connection that bridges human spirits.”

Driving directions...for life?

I was driving home from work the other day and on the way, I noticed that the city had re-painted the lines on the road. And as soon as I noticed those brightly painted and definitive lines, I noticed a slight smile came across my face and was accompanied with a sense of relief. I laughed at myself, and wondered why on earth would I care that new lines were on the roads? I liked the lines, that's for sure, and then I realized that those lines gave way to a sense of relief because it was like someone had reassured me of where I was supposed to be. "Go this way" or "Go here to turn". I didn't have to guess where one lane ended and another began, and I could now clearly tell where the turn lane was, even though last week the lines were a bit fuzzy and faded. I then compared driving my car to the feeling that I get when I drive a boat…where lanes do not exist at all. I love driving boats; there's an inherent sense of freedom in the idea of being able to go wherever you choose without anyone telling you differently. How odd…how is this like life, I wondered.

Circumstantial Evidence
When I was little, my grandmother gave my cousin and me identical dresses – except hers was pink and mine was blue. My cousin was pretty and petite, with tiny features and long, dark hair she could wear in banana curls. I, on the other hand, was a little chunky with hair that waved in all the wrong places. My mother once described me as "handsome." At four years old, I knew that pretty little girls wore pink. So what do you think I decided to believe when I didn't get the pink dress? I was not pretty enough. "Not" and "enough" being the operative words here.
Of course, I did not go around for the next fifty years telling people I was not pretty enough for pink. What I did do was forget that I made up that belief at four years old. I forgot it, then I forgot that I had forgotten it. I did, however, let the belief manifest itself in various and wondrous ways. If you don't believe me, well... I have evidence that I was “Not enough!” I came in second place in the handwriting contest in fourth grade. I came in third in the drawing contest in fifth grade. I was co–captain of the majorettes in ninth. I was co–editor of the high school newspaper. I was tied for the best looking four–eyes my senior year. I was second chair in the flute section, then I was put on probation as a music major in college. I was the second woman my ex–husband proposed to and wore those secondhand rings.
