Wow!!  What a whirlwind weekend Ricki and I had at the INATS (International New Age Trade Show) in Denver this past weekend.  It was good to get away, regroup and reconnect with other like-minded store owners.  It was a playground of all the new products, books, music and movies.  We meet some wonderful authors and made a lot of new friends along the way.  Stop by and check out all the new books, statues, jewelry, stones and a few fairies that will be coming in this month.

As much fun as we had, it was also nice to come home.  If I get too far away from the Higher Self, I feel a little lost.  Just being in this space helps me to ground and reconnect with my higherself.  I have been told by customers that we would be rich if we could some how bottle the feel good energy from the store.  I am already rich in spirit and am truly blessed to work in this space.  Our wish is that you feel enriched by visiting our space.

 

Ricki had been asked to join the Board of Directors for COVR (Coalition of Visionary Retailers).  She was honored to be asked and accepted a three year term on the board.  She has been a member for several years and is excited to be able to give back to an organization that has helped her along the way.  Ricki was floating most of the show and was able to connect with others to help her reground herself. (I tied a rope around her ankle just incase she floated away. LOL) 

 

There are a lot of activities going on the month, inside our store and in the surrounding areas.  Cherry Festival kicks off this weekend and the month rolls out with the Traverse City Film Festival in full swing. 

I am looking forward to seeing all your smiling faces.

Greetings Earth children.  How’s it going?  There are lots of fantastic new changes happing in your world. We just want to tip our hats to all of you who have chosen to go with the flow and see only the many wonderful new energies being birthed.  We know it would be so easy to just shake your head and hide away until the worst is over.  The fact that such a large amount of you have chosen not to turn away shows that our belief in you over the centuries was not misplaced.  Your smiles and your caring for each other fills us with joy (you go girls and boys).  And for those few times when others energy try to pull you back down, we offer you the help of our brother SARDONYX. No not sardonic, although he might help you develop your own snappy comebacks to the nay sayers.

 

He is more the guardian type to keep the energy from melding with yours so that you don’t pick up others fears.  And when that special someone refuses to hear your love and only feels your nagging it will help to rebalance your emotions so it doesn’t turn into a free for all.  No throwing your rocks.  He helps to bring happiness and stability to marriage or long term partnerships.  It is a stone that attracts good fortune and good friends.  It’ll supplement your willpower and help you to stay strong and firm in pursuit of your objective.  It’s also very good for those times when no matter what you do you feel depressed.  So stash a piece of me in your pocket when you have to visit THE RELATIVES.  Hold apiece and prevent hesitancy from about coming out of you when finally getting the chance to talk to your boss about the important things.  As always we have faith in you.  We know you don’t need us but we’re here to help. We often read in spiritual literature about the necessity for surrender.  We are told to "let go".  What does it mean to surrender?  Does it mean to give up, to stuff our emotions and concerns deep within, or just bite our tongue when something disturbing is happening in our life?  If we are honest with ourselves our primary response to realizing we must surrender, is FEAR.  "What, after all those years of meditation, reading, classes, feeling that I must surely be ready for ascension now  and  I know I am way ahead of many others...I am now expected to just let it all go?"   What will happen to the me that I know and love?  What does surrender mean?  Do I even really want to surrender and what the heck am I surrendering?

Spiritual surrender is not a resigning to whatever happens.  Spiritual surrender is a letting go of all that is not real and can only be achieved through a knowing of what is real. The idea does not even present itself until we are spiritually ready.  That is, evolved enough to see that the surrendering of our old concepts and beliefs is a necessary step if we really are serious about this spiritual journey.  For years we have enjoyed reading metaphysical books, going to discussion sessions and classes, and practicing the latest trends in ritual and techniques. However, there comes a point in time when we must stop just "talking the talk", and begin to "walk the walk".  We are now there. 

As  beings living in third dimensional energy (the energy of duality and separation) we have had lifetimes of learning to  stand firm on issues, and  only surrender our opinions, beliefs, concepts, and ways of seeing the world after much analysis and consensus by "experts".  It is impossible to spiritually surrender while still engaged in the games of the third dimension because this is the third dimensional way of coping and survival. It has worked for us lifetime after lifetime. Spiritual surrender means evolving to a place within ourselves in which we are able and willing to let go of all that is of the old energy in order that we might move into the real-those frequencies beyond the third dimension. It is the ability to see the real behind those material pictures being presented to us and because of that, not respond but instead move into a trust, surrender, and a letting go.

This spiritual surrender or "letting go" means a willingness to leave behind all that no longer serves us but we must know what it is we are needing to let go of.   Our reactions to words, pictures, and ideas are    good indicators telling us to look deeper.  "What am I believing that is causing me to feel this way?"  It can be as benign as not liking the dress someone is wearing.  In and of itself the dress is nothing, but if I am labeling the dress or the wearer as good or bad, I am in third dimensional energy.  It is important to remember that I am always entitled to my preferences, but now I no longer judge things as good or bad, but simply acknowledge that everyone has choice. "That dress is very interesting, unusual...instead of that dress is awful, she has no sense of style." It is a conscious withdrawal of power from anything outside of ourselves; all persons, places, or things and then consciously returning all power to Source and that Source within our Selves.  Not my human self, but that I that I am in my true essence. 

Concepts and beliefs are universal, but become individual when we accept them. "What ideas do I still hold dear that were given me by teachers, parents, experts, friends, or religious teachings; and in the light of what I now know, are these beliefs true?"  This means taking an honest look deep within to determine where I am still in bondage to third dimensional beliefs,  beliefs that can be as benign as believing you must cook a turkey every Thanksgiving.   Each of us alone must honestly determine what it is we need to let go of. No one can do this for us. There is a book called; "My Stroke of Insight" by Jill Bolte Taylor in which she minutely examines the antics of the left brain and how we get caught in its "games".  Eckhart Tolle also examines this subject, especially in his book; "Practicing the Power of Now".

Ego is that aspect of us that believes itself to be separate from Source and all living things and must therefore be protected, validated, and eternally struggle in order to survive. In third dimensional energy the bottom line is always "You will never be good enough" and that is where we get our sense of insecurity and the need to defend the ego self.  As we grow in the understanding of who we really are, the need to protect who we think we are disappears with the realization that the I that I really am needs no protection. I am all that is right now, not after I die and if I am good enough may get admitted to someone's concept of "heaven".  The ego has opinions and is opinionated and these opinions are valid in the third dimensional energy.  They have served to keep us safe but now as we move into fifth dimensional energy we no longer need them. In my spiritual evolution, these tools have become old and obsolete. We are graduating!  

Spiritual surrender means a giving up of the human sense of desire and hope; made possible through our realization that the omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent divinity within already knows that which would be wholeness and completeness for us, it IS us.   I am able to consciously surrender to the I that I am understanding  that IT knows where I belong, how to get me there, how to manifest  my  highest good, and  is in fact, the substance of which it  is all formed. It is my very Selfhood.  

Through the conscious release of our old belief system and an integration of Truth we now begin to lose outgrown fears and are able to more easily move into a place of trust.  It all happens without our having to say a holy word, burn a candle, chant a chant or follow a guru in spite of what the third dimensional world around us may try and make us believe.  We need only go to the Divine within and state our intent to move into truth.  We are then on our way, for we are the creators of our lives. The Universe has heard us. The "train has left the station". 

Spiritual surrender takes courage.  This work is not for the faint hearted, but at some point we must ask ourselves; "Is there a Source/God or is there not?"  If there is, then I must be in and of it for there could be nothing separate from Omnipresence. Therefore it behooves me to move, rest in, and surrender to it.

In the previous post I began to discuss how important balance is to feeling fulfilled, but because this is such an expansive topic I wanted to start to break this down for better assimilation.  Currently I am working on incorporating hands-on applications and techniques to address balancing out the20different aspects of life so that you can be more fulfilled and be better able to design your life so that your focus is efficiently balanced and supportive to your desires.  If you are seeing how becoming more balanced could improve your life, be sure to sign up for email alerts so that when the program is launched you will be one of the first to know!

I am going to assume here that most people have heard about balance being important, whether it was regarding what is good to eat (and eating in moderation and limiting the “unhealthy” foods and snacks), balance between working and being social, etc.  Too much of anything can be a problem, right?  Well keep that in mind as you read this.

I almost missed summer this year. I almost missed it last year, too. Hopefully I've learned my lesson. I did finally get to the beach with friends a few times during the last week of August and first week of September. Listening to the waves was nourishing to my body and soul, digging my feet into the sand connected me to mother earth and grounded me at the same time. But it was the words I heard spoken by the friends, intentionally and unintentionally, that I took home as true treasures. Words I could feed on and digest and apply to life. Lessons on the beach.

At lunch with a friend yesterday, these questions were posed to me: What causes a person to be civilized? What causes a person to be uncivilized? As I pondered these excellent questions, he asked, "Well, do you have an answer?"

Yes, of course, love and fear is at the base of every chosen action or way of being.
