Check Lists

It is April 6^th already. Time seems to be moving quickly. Where did March go? I think it left with the snow. Yeah!! Spring is here and the crocuses are in bloom with all the greenery popping up with buds of daffodils, tulips and trillium. I have been longing to feel the earth between my fingers. I have gone through my check list, read everyone’s article to make sure all the key points have been mentioned. The other employees here tease me because I am the detail person. I will check, recheck and check one more time to make sure everything is in order. I admire people who make lists. I keep most things in my head and the older I get the harder it is to remember. Lists are our friends. My check list reads – Be Present – Breathe – Smile – Breathe – Laugh – Breathe – Cry – Breathe – Be Present. I wrote a check list for employees to read before they walk out on the sales floor and I’d like to share it with you. Maybe you can find it useful at your job and/or home.

These are the words I use to center myself and help me to be present for customers.

Please read these words out loud before you step out onto the sales floor.

One of the things I love most about this store is it helps to keep me centered and remember why I am here. Not just here in this store but on this planet. It helps me to remember who I truly am which helps me to be Present outside of this store.

P.S. Ricki is downstate this weekend at a Gem Show. New crystals, jewelry, tumbled stones and what ever goodies that caught her eye. I am so excited to see what gems she has found. There was a fashion show here last Wednesday with the new spring line from Braja Clothing. I love spring.

The Energies of April

The Rune for April is: Nauthiz: Constraint. And if you’re reaction to that is… but I thought that things were getting better! Why must I practice restraint now?! Don’t I practice positive thinking? Don’t I meditate and work with my dreams? Don’t I live in the moment?

Well, for one, this rune encourages you to finish up any shadow work which still needs your attention. And secondly, Nauthiz is about not going into over indulgence, especially in material 3D and 4D things.

One of the dominant energies of this period of ‘The Shift’ is our susceptibility to align with and to take on the energies of other people, places and ideas. Many of the Lightworkers who have learned to practice compassion instead of empathy are being caught by their passion to serve… When service is performed as an alignment with the energy being served, even for just an instant, the lightworker tends to get stuck in the resonance of the one being helped. This is why you are being urged to use restraint.

Dream big, love powerfully, serve generously and align only with the Divine… That is the message of Nauthiz… That is the energy of April 2008!

The Osho Zen Tarot Card for April is Turning In

For those of us living in Upper Lower Northwestern Michigan, April is filled with hope and anticipation. Some days the weather is warm and wonderful, some days feel like winter. Greetings!

There are a few exciting things that I want to point out, but first I want to express my excitement for the arrival of Spring! I can tell by watching the increased number of people on the streets of downtown Traverse City that I am not alone in the excitement! I took a walk on some trails at the State Hospital yesterday and started to connect with Mother Earth again, and I felt myself instantly lighten up. There will be more of that to come, thankfully. :)

The Psychic Fair was absolutely amazing! In fact, it was my favorite experience working a fair to date! For whatever reason my energy was sustained throughout the day and I was fairly wired at closing time. Thanks to everyone who participated (customers, readers/healers and of course the loving customer service people) because the energy was outstanding all day long! I had a constant flow of people to read for and the joy and love that was exchanged was probably what kept me going like the Energizer Bunny! Hahahaha

Also, last week I was on a dusting mission in the store. I set out with my Swiffer duster determined to dust, obviously, but to also get more familiar with the products in the Higher Self. I do admit to not being the most observant person, by any stretch, but being that I am in the store for a multitude of hours every week, I thought I had a pretty good grasp at what products are offered. Well, as usual, I surprised myself! Did you know that there is an entire collection of what is called "color therapy"? I didn't, and when I came across it in the back room (by the clothing rack), I asked my Spirit Guides about it. I was told that color therapy is a very effective way to balance out chakra energy! I am not schooled in it, clearly, but I do trust my Guides and intend on learning more. I also discovered an array of Yoga equipment, such as mats, DVDs, books (even for young people) and some other tools. The back room is where the Friday Night Forum is held every week, but last week was the first time that I truly got in touch with the products that I think are so often over looked. So, if you are in the store, be sure to take some extra time to really look at some of the products; as now I realize that such an assortment of products can be overwhelming and things can tend to 'blend' together. And if you are looking for something but can't seem to find it, be sure to ask one of the knowledgeable workers (hopefully I will fall into that category soon, hahaha).

And as a side-note, keep your eyes peeled for some great new clothing. I had the privilege of being a model for the Ricki when one of the vendors came in and the fashions are comfortable, flattering and stylish. What a fun day...it has been a while since I have had the chance to play dress up! Summer, here we come!

It’s been another month of learning and creating a New Earth. Each of us has a place in this cycle. We all belong. I’ve spent a lot of time this month on the Oprah.com website watching the Monday night telecasts of Oprah and Eckhart Tolle and checking out the blogs on how some people are awakening to themselves. It’s an exciting prospect that so many people who never realized what they were up to are getting to know how they affect the world and how they can create, with intention, a better place for us all. Hope you have joined in the process.

I’ve been looking at some of my old papers where I have written down ideas and quotes that inspired me. Here is something I wrote. I think it was based on a book I was reading at the time. I hope you get something from it as it relates to the New Earth.

The quality of intelligence still to emerge in the human kingdom is intuition. Most of what we call intuition or the psychic today is actually an advanced state of instinctual knowing.

When the mind penetrates into the intuitive, we have entered into the realm where the thoughts of God are available. The mind has actually “thought itself” into the world of God’s mind.

When the intuitive realm is reached a stream of knowledge flows into the personality, creating what is called the soul-infused personality and representing a marked spiritual change in the life of the individual.

We each have the capability to enter the intuitive realm and become Soul-Infused personalities. It is our heritage to come to know and participate in the Mind of God. The process begins with a focused study of and subject to which you are attracted. From there it’s an upward spiral.
